Hi Arno,
I am a traditional painter (you can see work on my website, listed above). I found your blog through my search for an item often found in Dutch still lifes: the three-legged reddish clay bowl. It is about the size of a coffee cup, and appears to be an ashtray.
I was curious if you knew what this object is called, and whether you know if this type of ceramic piece is still being made, or is available.
Any assistance you can provide would be a great help! Thanks,
Andy C.
